Confluence

Confluence
"The meeting of the two seas" (Quran)
"For now we see through a glass darkly;
but then face to face: now I know in part;
but then shall I know even as also I am known."
(Bible)
Two zones, two space-time zones: Now, Then
In this world we live in now, we do not see so clearly.
Our vision is distorted, obstructed.
We mostly see ourselves.
We peer through the clod that we are.
We see darkly.
But then (when we drop the clod),
we shall see face to face.
Nothing will be hidden.
Can we handle it?
In many cultures, that first look,
with nothing hidden, is called "the judgment."
We see the purity of our soul.
We have "gone over."
We are on the other side of the confluence,
of the meeting of the two seas.
This need not seem so strange.
We drop the clod now from time to time.
Feelings of one-ness, of whole-ness pour through us.
Awareness opens. Breathing deepens.
We see clearly.
No one is DOING the seeing.
Seeing IS.
We know as we are known.
Simultaneously.
