gerundtology

"Gerund: a form that is derived from a verb but that functions as a noun."
So if gerontology becomes gerundtology, it is the study of older people who are derived from a verb but function as a noun. Hardened in place as it were. No longer free-flowing life (verb) but staid stuckness (noun). How depressing! I think I would rather study older people who are still verb-ulaitng, who are verb-acious, who have a lot of verb-ve, Much more to learn there.
