habit

habit: "garment worn by a member of a religious order"
Each of us is a creature of habit. We have set up an order in our life which we follow religiously. As such, we are members of a religious order and we wear our habit.
I like Pascal's thought: "We must resort to habit once the mind has seen where the truth lies, … for it is too much trouble to have the proofs always present before us. We must require an easier belief, which is that of habit."
Once we see where the truth lies, we wear that truth like a garment. The garment becomes our habit-at.
Truth comes from the heart. The head follows along behind seeking proof. Poor naked troubled head. The heart clothes it with gentle radiant light. Their connection is secure.
