The Personification of the Universe
The perennial question, answered firmly in the negative by Yahweh, the Judeo-Christian Warrior God, and that continues to be a matter of debate is: Shall you have any images before you?
The Zen folk agree with Yahweh. Do not put a head on top of your head. Snap out of, stay out of reflection. Revery is a block to clear seeing. All we need to know is in this Now.
As a Zen Baptist, I tend to follow that approach. It has allowed me to move through much difficulty. The Baptist consciousness, however, opens to a personified cosmos rich with personality.
