Dear Unborn Kin,
Decades ago I was driving across the rural South late at night and heard on the radio a preacher preaching about dead cats on the line.
This seems to be what we have become today: two cats with tails tied to each end of a single rope tossed over a clothesline. They claw each other’s guts out.
A graphic image but that old preacher had a point. We need justice but we also need compassion.
There are lots of belly scars in America today. I hope we are over this divisiveness by the time you are born.
Your Loving Ancestor
