What is theo-ry but an attempt to understand the theos, to understand God, the Source of all becoming? 

Thus "scientific" theory is an attempt to understand God through the scientific method. This does not have to be cold-hearted (scientists are people of passion). The objectivity of the scientific method arises out of an intense desire to know. 

This intense desire is not different from the passion of the conscious awareness methods (contemplation, meditation, the interflow of prayer). 

Both methods, scientific and conscious awareness, are tools for understanding the theos, for comprehending God.

Sometimes we need a screwdriver. At other times a pair of pliers.
