I sit here looking forward to my 80th birthday in June reflecting on what in my life I have earned. Not have been given, but have earned.

-- A Sharpshooter medal for the M1 Rifle
-- An Expert medal for the .45 Pistol
-- A 5th degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate awarded by its founder, Tatsuo Shimabuku
-- An invitation to go to Officer's Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia
-- A Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and Ph.D. Degree in Psychology
-- A position as Associate Professor of Psychology at a university
-- Several publications in peer-reviewed journals of my ground-breaking experimental research in Nonverbal Communication
-- Creator and professor of a Wellness Program at a university medical school
-- A license as a Psychologist eligible to practice in the State of Arizona
-- A position as Chief Psychologist in a four-county Behavioral Health System
-- Founder and teacher of Wu Chi Ku
-- Authorship of several books

I feel both happy and fortunate. I wonder what I will earn in the next 15 or so years. Thanks for letting me think out loud.
You will continue to gain my respect as a friend and mentor in so many ways. Your thinking out loud has guided me when I was looking for guidance...Your wholesome blurbs and often times outbursts have inspired me when I wasn't looking...PLEASE just keep doing the Wu CHI KU !!
