We wear "thought helmets" when we are at war; "thinking caps" when we are at peace. When wearing a thought helmet, we band with similar helmet wearers and rail and shout against those with different thought helmets. When we stop being at war (with ourselves, with the world), we lose the helmet and don our thinking cap. We need more thinking caps today.
