Food dies for us every day

Food dies for us every day. When we eat, we eat the sacrifice of animals, vegetables, minerals. Each of us is a sacrifice area.
As Thich Nhat Hanh has pointed out, when we eat, we are eating the sun, the earth, the highways that bring us food, the trucks, the truckers, the slaughterers, the pickers, the corporations, the packagers, the grocery store workers. We eat the entire process that brings this mouthful to us, that presents itself as a sacrifice.
We are Big Mouths never completely filled.
