While some of us spurn the very thought of a religion, each of us has and is a religion -- a swearing over and over to the same belief structure by which we make sense of the world. We cast a conceptual net over the cosmos and call it reality. This is fine as far as it goes. It is the way of a human.
And yet, at times it is necessary to step out of our vehicles of thought, to not be so hardheaded in our assumptions. This is the essence of creativity, of creation unfolding. Rigid thought vehicles of yesterday, of a few moments ago, are abandoned as one sits or walks open to this newness of Now, the open space of new understandings.
Was just settling into some good hard-headedness when I read this. Thanks for the reminder to open. This post is just what I needed today. Thank you, George!
