Made in the Image

An old saying has it that we are made in the image of God, of our Source. Two good words: "made" and "image."

Made. We are made men, made women. This means we are in the Family and follow the code of the Family. We are brothers and sisters in the Family. We are made.

Image. We are made in the image of the Source, the ever-expanding, ever-unfolding Source. We are i-mages, eye-mages. Our Source looks through our eyes. Sometimes rejoices, sometimes cries.

A mage is "a learned person." A mage knows s/he is a mage, a mage-ician. We are magicians. Everything we think, we become. Every thought is instantly reflected in the body. We conjure ourselves, bring ourselves into being.

Every in breath is one of compassion for ourselves. Every out breath is one of compassion for all. "Love your neighbor as yourself." If we don't love ourselves we can't love our neighbors (trees, humanimals, birds, fishes, critters of all kinds from the subatomic to the metagalactic, the cosmos).

The type of love we give to ourselves is the type of love we give to all around us all the time.

Our movies of the mind create our world.
