the bead game

If death is but a passageway to the next womb room, just as we went through a birth canal to get to here (and had to die to that previous womb, detach from it, to do so), then "to die before we die" means to detach ourselves from this womb we are in now, live with full presence and respect for this birth chamber yet not cling so tightly, to begin "laying up treasures in heaven" by opening more fully as the spiritual being we are. Think of a bracelet of beads with each bead connected to the adjacent others by a flexible open conduit. These are the wombs and the death/birth canals. We are born from one "bead" into another. Now allow the bracelet to open into a spiraling with no end, endless wombs of existence with appropriate death/birth passageways. We go on forever, forever learning and unfolding. One strand of beads helping make up the DNA of God.
