Billfold -- An antique device used for storing actual material representing the electronic blips of currency. The material was in the form of rectangular hardened paper known as bills (one dollar bill, five dollar bill, etc.) which were placed in the main pocket of the bill carrying device. Other items were stored in the billfold (cards, licenses, photos, condoms, lists, etc.) until the device was thick and morphed into a wallet. The wallet was carried by male adherents to this system in a back pocket, and due to its thickness often produced spinal misalignment, resulting in what became known as a walletectomy.
