This morning I have been studying: (1) the nature of the world view of Islam and how it was formed; (2) the distinction between oppositional opposites (good vs. bad) and complementary opposites (position and momentum) in Wolfgang Pauli's reflections on classical and quantum science. My training as a psychologist and as a social psychologist stands me in good stead here for both lines of study. I continue learning that we humans fear the unknown and weave a tight blanket around our consciousness for security, and that the unknown is where creativity and transformation occurs. The more we contract, the less we comprehend.
