3: 20 a.m. Synthronous, a word that came to me as I sat quietly a few years ago. Syn-throne-ous: siting on the same seat (throne) simultaneously. Mutual simultaneous lap sitting. Further elaboration this morning: It is common to divide reality into the physical and the mental. In a synthronous world, the two sit on each other's laps simultaneously ad infinitum, so that both separateness and merge continuously co-occur. In holistic language, each nests within the other, thus co-producing the infinite regression into the sub-atomic (the scintillating base of all that is) and the infinite progression into the metagalactic (the glorious expansion of the ever new). Thus the "physical" and the "mental" are the same process in constant flow, arising while declining. This process is what we label as "spiritual."
