merleau-ponty

3:48 a.m. Up reading Merleau-Ponty's "Phenomenolgy of Perception" and comprehending that the heart is the gateless gate (a Zen term) between the "outer" world of scientific and objective reductionism and the "inner" world of subjective idealism. We are the interflow between the two worlds which by themselves shortchange reality, short sheet the cosmic bed. In other words, Merleau-Ponty is confirming and enriching previous understandings, always a positive experience. Capaciousness, darling; the clear open space of the templum whereby one is never stuck in object-ivity or subject-ivity, the dualisms, but remains open to and resides in "the hidden third."
