Everyone
can come up with the logic for their position. No matter how carefully
enunciated, it convinces no one with a different position (who have
their own logic of substantiation). We mostly like to say or post our
logic as a litany which, the more often repeated, reinforces our belief
in our position. We have our positional church and its sacred dogma.
This is my position and my litany.

ReplyDeleteLogic is a purely empty--but powerful--structure that can channel content. It's curious that many (unjustifiably) confer/transfer the power of a logical structure to their channeled content (position), even though the root of their content is essentially irrational. (By "irrational," I mean "a given, raw datum;" it's not a pejorative.) Unfortunately, that logical structure typically becomes both the mote and the castle--a sarcophagus--that entombs the individual.
