Just because there are assholes in every religion and because Christianity was commandeered into a state religion (whether people recognize that or not) and used it and use it for power purposes, some folk like to get up on their hind legs and yammer that religion is the Bad Guy. Not so. Jump on the assholes and the state and you will have landed on the proper targets.
