enfleshing ourselves around it

As soon as one opens to a word, an entire universe is born. With no words, there is only this (pointing into all realms at once). And one has to be careful with the point or one will begin to believe that the point is the point.

As soon as one utters a word, structure is created. Prosperity, democracy, freedom. Sin, redemption, salvation. You, me, them. Love, grace, flow.

As soon as we create structure, we regard it as our skeleton, our frame, and enflesh ourselves around it. We are the living walking structure now. We say this is us, this is me.

We do not know we create the frame of our living. Willing recipients of mutual hypnosis, we live our lives in dream. We even dream we are awake. Then we feel good, maybe even a little superior, that we are among the awakened and we go on dreaming.

We move into paradox. The truly awake are those who do not know they are awake. As soon as they know they are awake, they are not awake. Yet those who do not know they are awake are dreaming. Round and round we go within this frame we have created.

The way out? The sudden crowing of a rooster. A shooting star. A baby's smile.

Word.

  3. Pure, raw experience; pre-linguistic

    Roosterness
    Starness
    Babyness

    Awake implies dream
    Dream implies awake

    Is-ness implies neither

The way out and the way in are not one and the same...
