the legs of the insister

We are creatures of myth, of mythos, of mythopoetics, of metaphor. At times, we insist that our myth have legs, walk around in human form. And they do: the legs of the insister.

Our state of consciousness produces the world we live in. Our individual state of consciousness produces our individual world. Our collective state of consciousness produces our collective world. You want to change the world? Change your state of consciousness.

I weep for us. Without fur or feathers, we live in boxes. Naked slugs intent on ruling the world.

* * *

Memo to Christian theologians: If you have a version, you are bound to have per-versions.
