hijacked

I think I am finally starting to get it at my deep core -- Our nation has been hijacked, sold out from under us. Forget bridges, highways, schools, libraries. Forget fairness and justice. To the corporations, we are just another third world nation whose sweat shop lackeys demand too high a wage.

  1. Yes, it is intentional. It's all that Ayn Rand shit. Hateful and selfish to the core. Sort of scary to see how popular she's become with the new breed of conservatives. Clearly the F--- everybody philosophy.

  2. I can relate. Unfortunately, my mother raised me with this perspective so I've been fomenting it for a long time, not sure how to address it or try to alleviate it. I am hoping the current change of consciousness in the world will be a step toward undoing the hijacking. Naima

  3. It looks that way to me too, George. Someone once said that love (knowing and living that our highest good is intimately connected) brings out everything not like itself. The faceless "corporations" certainly bring out everything unlike love. Another thought comes to mind: we have been so arrogant in this country that we may now get to experience what it is like to use less, make do with what we have--to grow up as a nation. We are not above and separate from people in other countries--we are One. Bless us all.
